The project brief was to create a cosy residence that sits subtly within the landscape. The design for the residence involved a single elevated level which meets the ground on the street site. The elevated nature allows for the open plan living areas to be above the neighbouring properties, providing views of tree tops and sky.

Tasked with creating a modern residence that sits within a natural landscape, the Kelly House was positioned neatly into the side of the natural site gradient.
The upper living level has been designed to be transparent, offering vision through the structure and into the natural bush landscape beyond.
Nestled in the lower section of the slope, the lower ground level allows the building to form a solid base for the house and provide shelter for the recreational area. Earthy tones and textures provide a grounded feel.

Alteration to an existing residence were desired including modifications for the rear yard and pool area. Light features as well as organic materials and textures created natural boundaries of space. The result was an attractive space perfect for both the family as well as a spectacular spot for entertaining friends.
